Riverside neighborhoods are numerous. There are 28 official neighborhoods in the city, though there are a number of subdivisions within those as well. Some of the largest neighborhoods include Arlington, Presidential Park, Magnolia Center, and Eastside. Canyon Crest and Casa Blanca are also well-known locations.
Orangecrest, along with the Downtown area and Woodcrest, is a newer neighborhood here. La Sierra is along the western edge of the city and home to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Hawarden Hills is more of a remote and hidden community in the city. It's smaller but offers some great homes for those looking for larger estates. Finally, there's Victoria, which originated as a part of Arlington Heights. Arlington Heights is a historic neighborhood with the fourth highest homeownership rate in the city – and it is also where the Victoria Country Club is located, one of the most sought-after locations.
Riverside has an incredible history, and it's quite obvious from a quick look at the architecture and notable locations, including Mission Inn, the Riverside County Historic Courthouse, and the Riverside Fox Theater. It's also home to March Joint Air Reserve Base, which borders the city along the Moreno Valley. Many people live in Riverside near the base.
It's also notable that Riverside is home to the University of California, Riverside. As a result, many students live on campus.
Riverside Community Hospital is a large, inpatient treatment and trauma center serving the city. A second option for medical care is at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center. Both medical centers provide inpatient and outpatient care to those in need.
Riverside is also home to the Riverside Convention Center, which offers more than 66,000 square feet of space for various events that take place throughout the year.
